Oyebanji’s Erstwhile Advisors Donate Food Items to Motherless Home

The immediate past Technical Advisors to Governor Biodun Oyebanji have donated foodstuffs and other essential materials to the Erelu Adebayo Children’s Home at Iyin-Ekiti, as part of efforts to support the welfare and well-being of vulnerable children.
The initiative was also designed to complement the state government’s commitment to social care and protection.
Items donated at the Erelu Adebayo Children’s Home included bags of rice, toiletries, detergents, bathing soaps, noodles, among others.

Complementing People-Oriented Governance
According to the former Technical Advisors, led by Chief Akin Fasae, the initiative was aimed at complementing Governor Oyebanji’s people-oriented programmes, particularly those designed to improve the living conditions of children in need of care, protection, and support.
Chief Akin Fasae added that the gesture also formed part of activities to celebrate the successful completion of Governor Oyebanji’s first term in office and recognise the administration’s efforts towards inclusive governance, social welfare, as well as the promotion of an egalitarian society.
The former aides stated that the welfare of vulnerable children remains a collective responsibility that requires the contributions of individuals, organisations, and all members of society.

Recognising Four Years of Impactful Service
In their remarks, Dr. Tai Oguntayo, Mr. Stephen Adetunji, and Mrs. Abimbola Oni noted that Governor Oyebanji had made significant contributions to the welfare of orphans, vulnerable children, and the less privileged over the past four years.
This development, they said, informed their decision to round off the first phase of his administration’s tenure with the donation.
They stressed the importance of extending a helping hand to children in care facilities, noting that access to essential materials and a supportive environment would contribute to their comfort, development, and overall well-being.
Words of Encouragement and Appreciation
The Governor’s former aides encouraged the children not to lose hope in their future, urging them to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to their education and personal development.
They also commended the management and caregivers of the orphanage for their dedication to the children’s welfare, urging them to sustain efforts towards providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where the children can thrive and realise their potential.
The children expressed their deep appreciation as they received the donated foodstuffs and essential materials with great excitement.
