Okemesi: Raising Men Of Excellence, Service & Impact.
The commendation by the Ekiti State Governor, H.E Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, of the Chairman of the Ekiti State Internal Revenue Service (EKIRS), Mr. Olaniran Olatona, for his contributions to the improvement of the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), is another reminder that diligence, dedication and commitment to service can produce remarkable results.
Interestingly, this recognition came on the same day that another true son of Okemesi-Ekiti, Mr. Adeniyi Odunayo Michael, was celebrated as the Ekiti State Best Teacher, 2026.
Dcn. Adeniyi Odunayo Michael, a proud son of Mr. Adeniyi Eleso, an Estate Agent and Valuer from Okemesi-Ekiti, has once again demonstrated the spirit of excellence for which our people are known.
These remarkable achievements remind us of the words of our own son of the soil and internationally recognised gospel singer, Evangelist Akintunde Elijah, in his song: “Okemesi ki ja le, ki so le” — a reflection of the diligence, resilience and hard work associated with our people.
To Dcn. Adeniyi Odunayo Michael and Pst. Niran Olatona, I say: more grease to your elbows.
Both are servants of the Most High God, and it is therefore no surprise that the spirit of excellence, diligence and outstanding performance continues to manifest in their lives.
Like David and Joseph in the Holy Scriptures, who distinguished themselves through faithfulness, wisdom, diligence and divine grace, these two sons of Okemesi continue to demonstrate that when God’s grace meets hard work and dedication, excellence and positive impact are inevitable.
May the Almighty God continue to increase their anointing, wisdom, strength and understanding, and empower them to function effectively in their respective fields, serve humanity faithfully and glorify His holy name.
May greater doors of opportunity open unto them, and may their accomplishments continue to bring honour to God, pride to Okemesi and positive impact to society.
More grace. More anointing. More wisdom. Greater accomplishments.
Okemesi is proud of you. Keep making us proud!
