Hilda Baci sets to Win Guiness World Cooking Marathon which commenced on Thursday, 11th May, 2023 and is to end on Monday evening 15th April, 2023 at Amore Gardens, Lekki, Lagos State, Nigeria.

Hilda Baci Effiong is a young Nigerian Chef from Akwa Ibom State who owns a food brand in Lagos called “My Food by Hilda.” She is 27 years old.

According to the report concerning the competition, Hilda stands to cook and she is not permitted to sit while cooking, no intake of coffee, stimulants or any energy drink to artificially boost her energy and bodily strength while cooking. She is only allowed to eat food, drink water or fruit juice and glucose.

The report further said that she would cook for 4 days and nights, morning afternoon and night. No sleep in between. She is permitted to sleep 5 minutes in an hour that is she is allowed to rest 30minutes in every 6 hours and she spends the 30 minutes in a medical van which is close by within which she could nap, use the restroom and also get a medical assessment or check-up by the medical team available at the spot.

So far, she has cooked 115 meals with 3000 portion still counting. The current holder of the title which Hilda seeks to break is an Indian Chef Lata Tandon, who set a Guinness World Record for cooking for 87 hours and 45 minutes non-stop in 2019. To break the record, Hilda must cook for 96 hours and she has few hours to break the record.

She has the liberty to cook any meal she desires, every ingredients used are produced by her sponsors. She is being encouraged by friends and family.
