Assailants Murder Ekiti LG Staff … As Onigede Tasks Police To Fish Them Out

A staff of Irepodun Ifelodun Local Government area, Mrs Tayo Ajayi has been murdered in a cold blood at her house, Ujumu compound of Odogede quarters, Igede Ekiti during the week.
Oba James Aladesuru 11 has tasked the security agents particularly the police to fish out the killers of the deceased who was until her death, a staff of the Primary Health Center Department of the Local Government.
She was seen last early in the evening on Wednesday and murdered late in the night by yet to be identified assailants.
The first son of the deceased, Toyin Ajayi while recounting the incidence said “he received a call as regard the death of her mother and ongeting there, he met her mother in a pool of blood in her room with brooce on her head and blood on her body indicating that she was macheted to death “.
The head of Odogede quarters in Igede Ekiti who is the second in command to Onigede of Igede Ekiti, High chief Emmanuel Adetona hurriedly summoned a quarter prayer meeting on Friday morning held at Ita Urin to facilitate on how to fish out the killers in attendance were Oba James Aladesuru, the DPO and other quarter chiefs.
High chief Emmanuel Adetona queried :”How can someone be murdered like this without anyone noticing including the neighbors to have been awared in the night so, the community especially the warlords (Egiri) and the security chiefs must be up to the task to fish out the killers”.
Oba James Aladesuru frowned at the incessant killings in the town and gives a three day ultimatum to the various security agents to fish out the killers without delay.
In a response, the Divisional Police Officer through an interpreter advised the various stakeholders particularly the youths to feel free to avail him any useful information to unravel the situation and promised to ensure that justice is done to check future occurrence
In a call to the PPRO of Ekiti State command, DSP Sunday Abutu the incidence but informed that there has not been any arrest so far as investigation is still ongoing and by next week, the command should be able to come up with preliminary report.
The comments of the people in the town is that the killing of Mrs Tayo Ajayi has a ritual coloration. Her body has since been deposited at the morgue of the General Hospital, Iyin Ekiti.
