2027 Election: Gov. Oyebanji and Senator Bamidele Set Bold Target for Ekiti

In a major political move aimed at securing a decisive victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 presidential election, Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, and the Leader of the Senate, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele (MOB), have called for a total, 100% voter turnout for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Ekiti State.

The declaration was made on Friday during the official inauguration of the 157-member APC Presidential Campaign Council in Ado-Ekiti, with a charge to members to execute aggressive grassroots mobilization and unit-by-unit voter tracking.

A Massive 157-Member Mobilization Engine

The newly inaugurated campaign council brings together a formidable coalition of political leaders, federal appointees, National Assembly members, state legislators, and key community stakeholders from across the state.

Speaking as the State Coordinator and Chairman of the council, Governor Oyebanji tasked the team to go beyond organizing traditional political rallies by deploying a systematic, data-driven approach to voter engagement.

Governor Oyebanji highlighted a major concern from the June 20 governorship election, noting that out of over one million registered voters in Ekiti State, only about 400,000 participated in the poll.

“Our primary concentration must be on identifying registered voters who did not participate in the governorship election, understanding the reasons for their absence, and ensuring that they are fully mobilized to exercise their franchise for President Tinubu in 2027,” Governor Oyebanji charged.

Key Execution Directives for the Council

• Voter Tracking System: A comprehensive voter-tracking structure covering all 16 Local Government Areas and polling units will be unveiled within two weeks.
• Cross-Party Collaboration: Party leaders were instructed to set aside internal differences and welcome willing supporters regardless of their political background.
• Grassroots Outreach: Members are expected to work closely at ward levels to communicate the long-term benefits of the Renewed Hope agenda.

In his remarks, Senate Leader Senator Opeyemi Bamidele expressed full confidence in the council’s ability to deliver unmatched results for the President in 2027, citing the momentum generated from Governor Oyebanji’s recent re-election victory.

Senator Bamidele also commended the inclusive nature of the council, pointing out the notable presence of opposition figures—including the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Wole Oluyede—as a clear sign of broad political alignment and goodwill in the state.

Echoing this enthusiasm, the APC State Chairman, Sola Elesin, urged members to demonstrate unwavering dedication to ensure Ekiti ranks among the leading states nationwide in vote delivery for President Tinubu in 2027.
