Proud Moment As Former Students Visit Venite University Iloro VC

Some graduates of Sociology from Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti (Class of 2008), paid a courtesy visit to Prof. James Adeola Olaogun, the Pioneer Vice Chancellor of Venite University Iloro Ekiti, a newly-accredited university in Ekiti State, Nigeria.
Olaogun is a former Sociology lecturer at University of Ado Ekiti now known as Ekiti State University. The sociology graduates who were at Venite University, Iloro-Ekiti on Thursday 7th of September represented the Sociology Class of 2009. Apart from congratulating their former lecturer, they also looked around to savour the beauty of the new university that will be having her pioneer student at the beginning of 2023/2024 Academic session. Venite University Iloro Ekiti is one of the Private Universities in Nigeria.
The university has the approval of the Federal Government of Nigeria. Her clean walkways paved with blooming flowers, clean classrooms are signs for the universities readiness to kick start molding feature leaders.
Speaking in the office of the Vice Chancellor, one of his former students in the group Funke Awodiya reminded Professor Olaogun of his influence on her career choice. In her words: “you made me study sociology when you taught us introduction to sociology in diploma class’ Prof. Olaogun is a dedicated teacher and teacher of teachers. His love and dedication towards knowledge production must have played out in the selection that made him the pioneer Vice Chancellor of Venite University.”

Ayilaran Peter who now works for Ekiti state Ministry of Information commends Prof. Olaogun for his fatherly role in the life of his students and wished him success in his new role. Aduralere Oluwagbohunmi a renowned clergyman in Ekiti who was also a former student of Prof. Olaogun prays for good health on behalf of professor Olaogun.
The Vice Chancellor was happy to introduce his former students to the visitors in his office. It is one of those proud moments to be a teacher. Tunde Awe, a member of the group who is a private school owner in Ado Ekiti made a closing remark on behalf of EKSU Sociology Class of 2008. The group promised their former lecturer their support.
