SSAUTHRAI Honours Agbede, Adarabierin with Distinguished Community Service Award
The Senior Staff Association of Universities Teaching Hospitals Research Institutes and Associated Institutions (SSAUTHRAI), Federal Teaching Hospital Ido-Ekiti (FETHI) Chapter, has honored Hon. Nelson Opeyemi Agbede and Hon. Asipa Deji Adarabierin with the Distinguished Humanitarian and Community Service Award.
The recognition was presented on Thursday, September 17, 2026, during the official ceremonies marking the 2026 Senior Staff Association Week at the hospital’s main auditorium in Ido-Ekiti.
Recognized for Community Impact and Humanitarian Service
The trade union celebrated both recipients for their ongoing commitment to local development, youth empowerment, and philanthropy across their respective constituencies in Ekiti State.
- Hon. Nelson Opeyemi Agbede is the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ekiti State House of Assembly, representing Irepodun/Ifelodun Constituency I.
- Hon. Asipa Deji Adarabierin serves as the APC candidate for Ado Constituency I.
Presenting the honors, representatives of the SSAUTHRAI executive council noted that the awards reflect the political leaders’ track records of selfless service and support for public institutions and community welfare initiatives.

“The recognition celebrates the genuine contributions of both political leaders toward humanitarian causes and community-oriented initiatives that directly improve the well-being of our people,” the association stated.

The SSAUTHRAI Annual Association Week serves as a platform to highlight labor relations, institutional development, and social responsibility within healthcare and research sectors.
Union leaders emphasized that honoring community figures like Agbede and Adarabierin aims to encourage public leaders to maintain high standards of accountability, service delivery, and public welfare.
Responding to the honor, the awardees expressed appreciation to the staff association, promising to continue their developmental initiatives and prioritize healthcare support, youth growth, and grassroots development in Ekiti State.
